ellen + bryan

06.13.09 | snellville, georgia ceremony: first baptist church snellville reception: calvary church stone mountain

ellen & bryan’s wedding was a breeze! for one, it was close to home – a rarity for us, since we work all over metro-atlanta and the southeast. for two, ellen & bryan were so carefree and in love – it was a joy just to be near them! their wedding was an entertaining time for us as we discovered a number of mutual acquaintances. for starters, our sitter arrived at our house and said, “my boyfriend is a groomsman at the wedding you’re photographing today.” turns out he also attends the same church as us! one of ellen’s bridesmaids got married a few weeks ago, and justin wojtczak – who interned with us a while back – photographed her wedding. that same bridesmaid’s husband is the brother of a guy who plays on the praise team at our church, along with art. another of ellen’s bridesmaids was the bridesmaid at a wedding we photographed a couple years ago, and we also ran into the mother of a bride whose wedding we photographed almost two years ago. we get such a kick out of things like that – reminds us just how small this world really is!

heather + jonathan

06.07.09 | athens, georgia ceremony: north campus chapel reception: foundry inn

heather was one of the most easygoing brides we’ve ever photographed. she had just one thing on her mind: marrying the man she first dated 13 years ago! and nothing was going to keep her from doing so, not even receiving the news – just moments before she walked down the aisle – that the pianist was a no-show! word spread quickly and even though there were no piano players in attendance, heather was fortunate to have a very clever and gifted vocalist (who also happened to be the mother of the ring bearer & flower girl) on hand who lead all the guests in a chorus of “dum, dum, da-dum” (also known as "here comes the bride") as heather made her way down the aisle to her groom - it was priceless! heather & jonathan, we wish you many years of wedded bliss!
